BACKYARD BIENNIAL

2019

This year's Backyard Biennial features a weekend of free and open to the public workshops, skillshare, and seminars lead by artists, writers, and educators in Ridgewood, Queens. 

 

The Biennial takes place outside of an institutional framework in a domestic space on the ground floor apartment of a brownstone.

 

Wheelchair accessible, all-gender bathroom available, service animals welcome, coffee and snacks provided, and childcare upon request.

Cooking Workshop

with Patrice Helmar & Rola Khayyat

2:30 - 5:30 

Soups & Salads: Learn to make nourishing food on a low budget. Build homemade soup from the broth up. Create a salad with seasonal vegetables and learn to make your own homemade dressing. Vegetarian cooking inspired by Greek and Lebanese roots. 

Backyard Biennial Supper Club

6:30 PM

 

Sliding scale supper club open to all. Suggested donation $10 - 20, all proceeds go to RAICES Texas & World Central Kitchen.
